Tinmama Oo arrived in Auckland as a 13-year-old refugee from Burma.  Filmed during her final year at high school, she tells her own story about her journey from a Thai refugee camp to New Zealand, why her family had to flee Burma, and how she has adapted to her new life.

Developed for use with the NZ Social Studies curriculum, Years 7 -13, the DVD now features a bonus update with Tinmama on the day she graduates from Auckland university.
